Plastic packers are typically a temporary levelling aid used during erection, later encased or replaced by the permanent bedding material — they are not usually specified as the long-term, load-bearing interface on their own. MM1018 FL is poured as the permanent structural fill itself, curing into a rigid, full-contact layer that carries the design load directly.
